HMS DIDO ASSOCIATION

Code of Conduct for the Committee

 

To be read and signed by all committee members.

 

The following is a code that has been agreed by the first committee of the HMS Dido Association. It was agreed that all present and future officers  and committee members, read and sign this Code of Conduct. Any Officer or committee member  that does not sign or disagrees with the code shall be asked to resign his position on the committee.

 

Any Officer or Committee Member:-

 

·          that contravenes the code will be asked to resign his position.

 

·          that brings the HMS Dido Association into disrepute will be asked to resign his position.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

·          must declare his membership to any other Association where he sits on the committee.

 

·          must declare any conflict of interest with other Associations to the committee.

 

·          will not use Association facilities for anything but Association use.

 

·         who accepts a task (other than normal duties of the position), must give monthly updates, until the task is completed, on their progress to the committee, (email updates are acceptable) .Starting one month after accepting the task.

 

·          that attends an event on behalf of the Association will present himself in a reasonable and respectable manner, and will, at all times, be respectful, and polite to the host and guests.

 

·         will select and vote on all committee positions except the posts of The Chairman and Secretary, these posts are filled by a membership vote.

 

·          will have one vote, except the presiding Chairman who carries a casting vote if required.

·         There must be at least 4 (four) members of the committee  (a quorum) present at all committee meetings.

 

It is requested, that Officers inform the Secretary of any intended Holidays they are taking, lest unforeseeable events arise.
